The SDR's steers are available for sale to the public, and we have a program for customers who don't need a whole steer or don't have a place to raise a steer. We believe people deserve high-quality beef at affordable prices.

For SDR's steer customers, the ranch does the following:

  • If needed, partners customers together allowing for the purchase of half a steer

  • Assists customers in completing a cut sheet 

  • Arranges the processing of the animal at USDA-certified I O Ranch Processing located in Evant, Texas

  • Processor vacuum seals and labels all beef in individual cuts

All of our steers are grass-raised and grain-finished without any antibiotics or hormones.  This is beef the way Mother Nature intended! By finishing with grain, the beef acquires a nice layer of fat and more significant marbling.

Our steers are dropped off for processing the first week of March and are available for pick-up the first week of April.  

Customers simply pick up their beef here at the SDR Ranch. Half a steer is 350+ lbs and will fit in a standard 17 cubic foot freezer.
